"AI Fish Counter" is a system that utilizes AI object recognition technology to count the number of fish during transfer or shipment and displays the count in real-time on a tablet.
During transfer, accurately counting fish in order to adjust density is a challenge due to visual limitations and overlapping of fish.
AI replaces traditional methods, enabling precise counts for better feeding, shipment management, and reduced costs, workload, and labor.
"AI Fish Counter" is a technology currently under patent application (Patent Application No. 2025-23043).
The AI Fish Counter captures fish bodies flowing through the system from overhead using a 'Fish Body Capture Camera.' The captured fish are detected using AI object detection technology, and the count can be monitored in real-time on a tablet.
To enhance fish detection accuracy, the device performs water-draining processing at the outlet and is equipped with a light-blocking sheet to reduce the impact of external light. This ensures stable measurement unaffected by environmental changes.
Additionally, to improve counting accuracy, the AI object detection not only detects the entire fish body but also identifies the head and tail sections. Even if a fish is only partially visible on-screen, detecting the head and tail prevents missed counts. This mechanism enables compatibility with various fish species.
