Automation and Labor-Saving in the Fisheries Industry
"Fisheries DX Support" is a service aimed at visualizing the intuition and experience of fishermen, adding value to catches and processed products, reducing fishing labor, and securing personnel on site.
In the fisheries sector there are issues such as a lack of data on coastal resources, and much of the information being organized manually and not collected promptly. Furthermore, there are numerous challenges that need to be addressed, including operations based solely on intuition and experience, lack of competitiveness in terms of quality and cost, and a shortage of personnel on site. To solve these issues, we can utilize ICT to efficiently collect information on fishing activities and fishing ground environments that were previously unavailable, and promote appropriate resource assessment and management.
"Fisheries DX Support," which involves listening to customer challenges and developing systems from scratch, not only leverages expertise in business system and app development but also combines cutting-edge IoT and AI technologies with the fisheries industry to bring customer requests to life.
We developed a system that allows bidding on freshly landed fish at the fishing port using tablets, with the aim of speeding up the bidding process and accumulating high-quality data.
Bidders enter their bid amounts on tablets, and data is managed and reviewed on PCs or tablets. With the introduction of this system, brokers can participate in multiple bids simultaneously, reducing both bidding time and the waiting time for fishing vessels, allowing fish to be offered in a fresher state.

We have established an environment for cultivating abalone indoors using recirculated artificial seawater (closed recirculating aquaculture system).
By utilizing IoT water quality sensors, we monitor water quality and achieve remote feeding and water supply control using our proprietary automatic feeder and water volume regulator. Additionally, it is possible to check the condition of the tanks in real-time through live cameras.

We have developed a system that analyzes webcam footage with AI to automatically monitor the condition of fish and the tank environment.
In the aquaculture tank management system, the footage from multiple digital thermometers is recorded as numerical data through AI analysis. Additionally, it is possible to analyze aeration, water flow, and fish condition even in dark rooms using night vision footage.

We have developed an aquaculture cage management system utilizing IoT water quality sensors and AI fish size measurement cameras.
The IoT water quality sensors automatically record temperature, dissolved oxygen, salinity, chlorophyll, pH, ORP, and turbidity, monitoring changes in water quality. Additionally, the AI cameras record fish sizes and analyze growth trends as time-series data, visualizing the growth conditions.

We developed a system to digitize aquaculture logs, enabling centralized real-time management of water quality, feeding, and mortality rates.
Data can be easily entered via LINE or AppSheet and visualized in Google Sheets. With the introduction of this system, operational efficiency has improved, allowing aquaculture managers easy access to the latest data, facilitating quick decision-making and data analysis.

We developed a notification system to solve the problem of fishermen not noticing calls from the back office while out at sea.
The system controls a patrol light installed on the boat via a mobile phone from the back office, alerting the crew to incoming calls with sound and light. With the introduction of this system, important communications are not missed, even in noisy environments with engine and wave sounds, allowing for quick responses.
